We are showing from these series of post about redemption, how that Christ's Redemptive death and blood was limited to only some of mankind simply because its effects is only unto some of mankind, namely Gods Elect. In Heb 9:12 its discovered that Christ's Redeeming Blood for them He died has obtained for them Eternal Redemption/Justification from the penalty of sin, hence they can never come into condemnation !
But redemption through His Blood provides more than just Justification from the penalty of sin, it provides liberation from the power of sin. Eph 1:7
In whom[The Person and Work of Christ] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; See its counterpart in Col 1:14
Here its a slightly different greek word used for redemption than in Heb 9:12, here the prefix apo is added apolytrōsis, the prefix apo means from or out of. Deliverance from or out from,
a releasing effected by payment of ransom. Not only a releasing from the penalty of sin and deliverence from Gods Wrath for sin, from the power of sin, especially unbelief. Unbelief is a manifested symptom of sins reign and power, its being under the power and spell of the god of this world, the prince of the power of the air 2 Cor 4:3-4
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
See not believing, or believing not is a big win for the devil and his power of the air Eph 2:2
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Christs death of redemption liberates, releases those He died for from this power of unbelief. Naturally all are born under the imprisonment of unbelief Rom 11:32
2 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
That word concluded: to shut up on all sides, shut up completely, to subject to,
so to deliver one up to the power of a person or thing that he is completely shut in, as it were, without means of escape:
There's no escaping the imprisonment of unbelief except through the redemptive blood of Christ. So the Gospel means:
Isa 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 42:7
To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness[of unbelief] out of the prison house.
To say that its possible for one for whom Christ died can stay in unbelief, its to give the victory to satan over and above the victory in Christ's redeeming blood. Its saying the devil is mightier than Christ !
