Yes indeed, Unbelief is bondage to sin that Christ liberates His Sheep from through redemption. Paul writes in Rom 6:18
18Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
Notice Paul told these believers they had been made free from sin. The words made free eleutheroō means:
Amen, as Shepherd of His Sheep, Christ's Blood alone was the ransom price to release from the bondage of sin and its penalty 1 Pet. 1:18-19

Notice Paul told these believers they had been made free from sin. The words made free eleutheroō means:
- to make free
- set at liberty: from the dominion of sin
its the same word used in Jn 8:36 of the Son
If the Son therefore shall make G1659 ➔ you free, G1659 ye shall be free indeed.
Also in the Rom 6:18 passage eleutheroō is in the passive voice which we know means:
The passive voice represents the subject as being the recipient of the action.
So Paul means that Christ made them free from the dominion of sin, particularly unbelief. But continue to notice the causative effect of being made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness , or ye were made to become servants of righteousness which means the were made believers in Him that set them free.
Everyone Christ redeems will be given faith via the newbirth to believe on Christ, or they will become servants of righteousness.
