Appointed to Salvation !

Some people have been appointed to Salvation, in correspondence to some have been appointed to wrath. 1 Thess 5:9

For God hath not appointed us[the elect See 1:4] to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

The word appointed here, the greek word tithēmi and means:

To destine, to decree !

The Chosen, opposite to the non elect have not been decreed, or destined to wrath, but to destined, decreed to obtain Salvation by dia, on account of, Jesus Christ our Lord !

Those appointed to Salvation were Chosen of the Father In Union with their Covenant Head and Surety Christ Jesus Heb. 7:22 to have remission of sins Eph. 1:4-7. They are the only portion of humanity which were the recipients of God's Grace 2 Tim. 1:9 and His Mercy Rom. 9:23. So even when they were enemies, that is to say unbelievers, they were reconciled to God by the death of Christ Is. 53:6; Rev. 13:8.

Rom. 5:10
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Their sins were imputed to Christ, and His Righteousness imputed to them Rom. 4:7-8, satisfying God's Law and Justice on their behalf, therefore being Justified in God's sight even from everlasting.

Rom. 5:9
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

2 Tim. 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
