Political spectrum as I see it & learned it from Bob Enyart (thanks Bob)
If this is really what Bob is teaching regarding politics, perhaps he should just stick to talking about the bible. Those who are at towards the extreme right of the political spectrum in the US are likely to have a rather `red-shifted' view of the spectrum, shall we say? For a start the whole question of how much a thing is defined is highly relative. Even the communists can have a right wing
as this report nicely demonstrates, so in a politically plural country, the consensus definition of left and right is the one that is valid. So sorry, you guys are on the cuckoo right. You're off the scale. Your opinion is unsupported by majority opinion and therefore wrong. It isn't even scriptural, as I doubt you will find the term "left wing" or "right wing" in the bible. And it's uninformed.
Usurpers-- anarchy-- democracy-- republic--oligarchy --timocracy -- aristocracy-- monarchy--constitutional monarchy
"Usurpers" is no more a political state than "Facile". I presume this is shoved in as some ham-fisted protection of Bob's wannabe Monarchy. Well, monarchies breed usurpers because the fixed hierarchies thwarted the ambitious. I'm still at a loss at to why this is worse than anarchy. Or how a usurper is somehow left wing. Was Macbeth a left-winger in the eponymous play? You probably haven't read it, so never mind. Ironically, although Bob's prose about the first ten days of his hypothetical monarchy was coy about the actual cause of this event, it seemed pretty clear that the constitutional republic (the rightful form of government) had somehow been usurped.
"Monarchs are usurpers and descendents of usurpers," as Mark Twain observed sagely. Bob's politics (if these are indeed what they are) are fraught with self-contradiction and are ill-conceived indeed.
Shouldn't fascism and communism and juntas and the like be in your chart somewhere?
MONETARY\ –communism-- socialism –fascism --freedom (with rights and contracts)
Only one of these is a self-styled economic theory. I think you'll find that the other three only concern themselves with economic/monetarist practice only incidentally. Where are the real economics that are actually practiced? Where is mercantilism? Keynesian economics? Supply-side economics? Even capitalism? Maybe I'm just not understanding this chart.
AUTHORITY \ people tell the government what to do--God gives authority to gover .Government tells the people what to do
………..\children have authority over parents ……………………..parents have authority over children
Who knows what this means? Is there a progression here? Why is the God one in the middle? What are you trying to say here?
………...Left ….……middle……….Right
FAITH \ Atheism – polytheism – monotheism
simplistic.......childish.......crap........
So people who practice voodoo in Haiti are moderate centrists when compared to atheist republicans because they're polytheists?
ORIGINS\ Evolution – theistic evolu.--Creation
I'm just going to ignore this one.
RIGHTS\ pro abortion – pro choice – pro life
And I keep hearing from you guys that pro choice just means pro abortion, but now I see that they are actually different categories. You lack consistency. I am now starting to suspect that its because you drink paint.
EMOTIONS\ indifference, hate, despite, disinterest, concern, commitment, love
What this has to do with politics, I don't know. So when a Christian says he "hates the sin", he's flirting with communism? Or usurpation? Or usurpation and polytheism?
You're going to need to try and be more clearer. Thanks for the good yucks, but all laughing aside, I'm worried about the effects inhaled paint may be having on your cerebral functions. Stop doing it. If you do, try to resist posting to TOL and just call 911.
