It is not humanly possible to have saving faith in a God that damns people to hell before they are born. What is saving Faith? Saving faith is also associated with love. Faith and love go together, they cannot be separated. It is not possible to have faith in someone without loving them also. Example, perhaps you are a Calvinist and have several children, none of your children profess faith in Christ and are living sinful lives. You must conclude that your children are not part of the elect and have not been predestinated to eternal life like yourself and are apparently part of the damned. Now, the question arises can you love and have faith in a God that has damned your children to an eternal hell? Of course you can't. It would not be humanly possible to love and have faith in a God that would do such a thing.
Job was the exception, but his wife was not. The scripture says concerning Job, "There is none like him on the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God, and hates evil" Job 1:8. Job continued to love and have faith in God in spite of what God brought upon him. But then again Job was the exception. Job was being tested. Job's wife did not pass the test.
Saving faith is always faith in Christ and his Gospel. It is not possible to have faith in a Christ that cannot atone for the sins of the world, 1 John 2:2. If Jesus did not atone for the sins of the world, then Jesus is not Lord. If Jesus is not Lord, then no one can be saved. If Jesus did not defeat sin, death and the devil, God would not have accepted him into heaven and we would all be lost in our sins. Our salvation is dependent upon the work of Christ that was done in our name and on our behalf. It is imperative that we have faith in what Christ has accomplished for us. No one will be saved without it.
