CALVINISM: A Denial of the Gospel and the Lordship of Jesus Christ

On the day of Pentecost they were saved because they heard and believed the Gospel, Acts 2:41.

God quickens no one that does not believe in his Son Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit is only given to those who have faith in Jesus Christ.

"This only would I learn of you, did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law (because you did something) or by the hearing of faith (hearing and believing the Gospel) Galatians 3:2.

1) No. Their hearing and believing was the result of them first having been made Spiritually Alive.
Their believing was the evidence that they were appointed unto Eternal Life Acts 13:48!

2) First God quickens, then they believe: First the Holy Spirit is given in New Birth,
then they have faith to believe on Christ Gal. 5:22!

3) The hearing of faith is only for the regenerate; it's evidence of New Birth Prov. 20:12!

Someone isn't saved, then, hear the message of their salvation. You have
it turned around Nanja.

No. First one is regenerated in New Birth, then they can hear the Gospel,
evidence of them having been appointed unto Eternal Life!

A dead man can't hear. Hearing comes by having Spiritual Life!

Acts. 13:48
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord:
and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

No, one hears the gospel and is saved. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 1:16 Modern English Version (MEV)

The Definition of the Gospel
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

We must hear the Gospel in order to be saved.

Some of those that were there on the day of Pentecost had participated in the crucifixion of Christ, Acts 2:36. Now you want us to believe that they were the elect?

About 8000 Jews came to know Christ as their savior because they heard the Gospel and believed it. There is NOTHING about anyone being already made spiritually alive. The Holy Spirit is only given to those who hear and believe the Gospel, Galatians 3:2.

I was a lost sinner and was saved and born again because I heard the Gospel. You do great harm to God's word and the Gospel of his Son Jesus Christ when you teach that people are apparently zapped with the Holy Spirit and become Christians.
