Bernie Sanders Buys $600K Lakefront Summer House in Vermont

Bernie Sanders, the socialist who challenged Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary, is dropping fat cash on a hot new lakefront pad.

The income inequality expert reportedly bought a $600,000 “camp” on the Champlain Islands in Vermont last week, which he plans to use as a seasonal getaway locale.

Bernie’s new crib has four bedrooms and 500 feet of beautiful shorefront access on the banks of Lake Champlain. Sanders and his wife plan to keep their home in nearby Burlington, as well as their fashionable rowhouse on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Bernie should fit right in as a member of the Champlain Islands community. There is a general store down the road from his new digs, for example, that serves a turkey sandwich called “Feel the Bun” in his honor. It features a “HUGE” roll, because Bernie says the word “huge” a lot. Also, provolone cheese.

“It’s not fair that the Billionaire Class controls 99 percent of the bread,” reads the sandwich’s description on the menu. “Here’s a sandwich for the rest of us … to keep us nourished until everything cool is free!”

Sanders’ wife, Jane O’Meara Sanders, said the whole family is excited about the new purchase. O’Meara Sanders is the former president of Burlington College, which was forced to close due to the “crushing weight of the debt” incurred under her leadership.

Bernie Sanders is already being mocked on Twitter for buying a fancy home despite spending his whole career railing against rich people and their fancy things.

Bernie Sanders is a Social Democrat , which means he favors the same kind of economic and government policies you find in Europe, policies which have made it the most advanced and prosperous continent on the planet .
He is NOT a Marxist or communist , and anyone who thinks he is doesn't even know what Marxism and communism are . But conservatives in America have zero understanding of what socialism,Marxism and communism are. They automatically label anyone who is even slightly more liberal than Archie Bunker a dangerous socialist,Marxist and communist . But communism is dead and buried . There are no communists in America , except for a tiny handful of powerless clowns who call themselves communist .
The kind of economic system Sanders favors is capitalist , but with strong government control of the economy and a strong social safety net for people . Exactly what America doesn't have .
The real threat to America is not socialism - it's the exact opposite. Total laissez-faire capitalism where the safety net has been completed gutted and abandoned . If you lose your job, you and your family can starve on the streets for all the government cares. If you can't afford medical care, die . And you will only be able to afford a college education or beyond if you are lucky enough to have rich parents .
We don't need socialism to impoverish America . Capitalism is doing this right now .

I see. Only a leftist is properly educated in Marxism. Nobody dissenting can be educated in these matters. Not agreeing with you means not understanding, regardless whether some of us have forgotten more about Hegel, Marx, Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin, the mechanics of the pernicious agenda, than you've ever learned. How very liberal a stand. It's a reflexive action with you guys, attack the messenger, like some doctor hits you on the knee with a truth hammer and your leg mindlessly responds.

There's a stealth, incremental approach to government totalitarianism in America, because those seeking big government and ultimate control over people know a full frontal approach won't fly. For instance, the left has admitted that incremental gun control is their only path to confiscation. "Don't let a good crisis go to waste." The left has advanced sexual perversion to enshrining it into law. The left has sought to silence Christian exercise of faith, from cake bakers to attempting to silence pastors who would teach from Romans 1. Don't rock Satan's apple cart, or you'll lose your tax exempt status, which would close the doors of many churches. Leftists are hiring people to spy on churches. In other nations, this leftist agenda has actually jailed pastors for "hate speech," who are merely exercising their freedom of religious expression and upholding fixed moral standards, as defined by Almighty God. Don't come to me, as the lyric said, smiling and covered with goo.

I don't see any of it as merely some social system, when it's, in fact, a violent agenda from hell, disguised as humanitarianism, by phony baloney politicians whose beliefs are up for sale to the highest bidders, and, like any psycho, narcissistic power over people is the next drug. Your leftist heroes have robbed and pillaged with the best of them, have their mansions financed by deceptive corruption they live by, in the shadows, have their gun-toting bodyguards with mighty high capacity clips, etc. And I would never characterized this as being a sole proprietorship of the left, as there are right-wing extremists who'd do Hitler proud, for the same reasons. But I am against evil, and the greatest evil that has emerged is the lying left, seeking totalitarian control and attacking the Bill of Rights patriotic Americans have died for.

I used to also engage some liberals, and they are so helpless and bankrupt to justify their stupidity, when their disastrous policies are backed up against the wall of reason, even common sense. What they do, as they do on TOL, every day, is engage in character assassination: if you can't dispute the message, shoot the messenger. That I find most lame and unworthy. It speaks for itself who the enemy really is, and it has never been the Christians or freedom loving, Constitutional Americans your heroes on the devil's payroll, leading you off the cliff and into the abyss, in fact, villainize, to even where inherently antichrist, Islamic terrorists are their darlings.

American Christians brought your hypocritical buddies the rights they've enriched themselves by and enjoy, themselves, free to act out their evil agenda in the open, rights they're trying to strip you of, piece by piece, as they wallow in the fruits of capitalism. But if you want to be a parrot of propaganda and a boiled frog, it's still a free country, and it's never going to be any skin off my rear, as my kind are going to be left standing. Our rights and power are not derived from your slimeball politicians.
