The only Christmas movie I can think of off hand that I really enjoy is Jim Carey's "The Grinch". The little details in the costumes and sets (and his facial expressions) are really fantastic!
"It's a Wonderful Life" was a good film, but it's just been played to death at this point. I can't watch it, anymore.
"Miracle on 34th Street" is a good Christmas film that doesn't seems to get old so long as you only see it once every few years.
The list of bad Christmas movies is endless. There's got to be hundreds of them at this point. Christmas seems to really bring out the gross, commercial, kitschy-schlock side of the film industry … and the TV producers … and the musical entertainers … and the ...

Two of my favs are Christmas Vacation and Elf.
To be fair, I don't include The Little Drummer Boy or A Charlie Brown Christmas, or Rudolph because I think of them as television specials and not as movies. Every one of those are staples. We've added a couple of new ones, like Yes Virginia.

Agreed. But on the topic of tv specials, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the Garfield Christmas special.

It's a Wonderful Life. I love our hometown boy Jimmy Stewart.
