YAY!
I get tired of triple digit weather real fast.
And August is usually the hottest.

Some years ago, I saw an analysis that suggested increasing global temperatures could make the Gulf Coast and Midwest wetter, and the Great Plains and West Coast drier.

One year doesn't mean anything, but if this continues for a few years, maybe it's was right on.

Living close to the Gulf, the high temperature is is usually lower. This summer has been cooler than usual, but hot anyway. Here, July is the hottest month.

With global warming/climate change, when it is warmer, or colder, global warming. More rain or less rain-global warming. More snow, global warming, less snow global warming.

It's more complicated than that. As in all changes, there will be winners and losers. Gulf coast gets hammered with more severe storms (but not more storms generally)

American West gets drier and warmer.

North Texas and Oklahoma may actually get wetter, which may moderate temperatures somewhat. If increased temperature keeps prevailing winds coming in off the Gulf, it will be an improvement over winds coming in out of Mexico.

Oh, and the Northeast can look forward to hurricanes showing up farther north.

Stuff like that.
