He would cause the falling of many in Israel, doesn't sound real victorious (Lk 2:34).
Here is what it actually says,
Luke 2
2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
Those who rejected him and Twelve's teaching were fallen. But to those who believed,
Isaiah 60
60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
None of this is difficult, it's a matter of believing what you read.
