SUMMARY:
When someone makes claims to be a prophet, our skepticism should immediately be on high alert. God gave Israel a test for how to tell whether or not someone claiming to be a prophet is a true or false prophet. “If the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken.” God then goes so far as to command Israel to execute anyone who claims to be a prophet and fails this test.
The founder of the Mormon church, Joseph Smith, was one such person who claimed to be a prophet. Just like how the Bereans were skeptical of Paul’s new message, Christians should be skeptical of Joseph Smith’s new “revelations.” In this video, we put Smith’s prophecies to the test.
Unfortunately, there is no defense for Smith after we see how miserably and utterly he failed the test.
For any Mormons who might be reading this, we urge you to reject the witness of false prophets like Joseph Smith, abandon their deception, and put all your faith and trust in our Lord and God Jesus Christ, and trust in His only Word, the Bible.
