I am dual cert. One of my certifications is in Special Ed. As a Special Ed teacher, I was a generalist. I was trained to teach all subjects.

Let's return to this: Because a lesson plan has to have a focus. And by focusing on one aspect you are of necessity focusing away from another aspect. No professional educator would disagree with that.
