What say you? Is the Bride the same as the body of Christ?

Ephesians 2:6 says that we the Church "sit together in heavenly places in Christ". I think the Church is the holy city of Jerusalem descending out of heaven.

What say you? Is the Bride the same as the body of Christ?

Jewish or not, Revelation 21:10's " that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven" also makes an appearance in Hebrews 12:22 (" the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem") and in Galatians 4:26 (" Jerusalem which is above"). I think these are all the same thing.

What say you? Is the Bride the same as the body of Christ?

Maybe it could be clearer here, but I think it's clear enough: Ephesians 5 " 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the...

Dinosaurs are fake and leads to atheism!

It takes more faith to be an atheist than it would to believe in obvious fairy tales.

    On the omniscience of God

If Him saying "I change not" is inherently change, then "I change not" is automatically ipso facto a lie. So does God lie, or does God not change. It can't be both.

    chrysostom

Certainly remarkable if true. He prophesied about Nero when Nero must have been a child or a very young man. He couldn't have died any later than AD 33, probably not later than 30 or 31 really, and Nero and his persecution (putting both Peter and Paul to death in Rome) didn't come along until...

    Is death just another life?

If Adam and Eve were expelled from God's presence, and if Christ is God, and if Christ is really present whenever we gather in His name, then what does that say about the idea that in the day that Adam died, when he was expelled from the Garden, that his death was due to his 'separation' from...

01|16|2022 In Brady vs. Belichick: It's Brady hands down

A clumsy attempt to quantify Quarterback Tom Brady's domination in the history of American football is no longer needed in the wake of tonight's drubbing of the now Brady-less New England Patriots at the hands of the Buffalo Bills. Brady's record against the Buffalo Bills is 33 wins out of 36...

    Is death just another life?

It's also "Orthodox nonsense" don't forget. Neither Catholicism nor Orthodoxy denies this, but both Catholicism and Orthodoxy affirm what @way 2 go said.

So who is being divisive here? Me? You? Again, what is your point? I don't disagree with any scriptures.

    Is death just another life?

Of course, that's why we can pray to the saints in heaven. It's why " we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses " (Hebrews 12:1)

ECT JESUS NEVER TAUGHT SOLA SCRIPTURA

I said Catholicism and Orthodoxy are the oldest Trinitarian Christianities. That verse is merely consistent with the Trinity being God, but the Trinity being God is the furthest thing from "obvious" in that verse. No, the Trinity is not 'proven' in any single scripture, nor in all of them put...

ECT JESUS NEVER TAUGHT SOLA SCRIPTURA

It is not. You don't have to go to Mass unless you believe in Jesus. And if you 'skip' you only have to visit the confessional before receiving Communion again. In no way are the police involved, so your rights are always intact. OK.

ECT JESUS NEVER TAUGHT SOLA SCRIPTURA

I don't know what you're talking about. Catholicism is completely liberal. You have the right to freedom of conscience, the right to worship and think as you see fit, but Catholicism has a definitely position on all these matters as well, Catholicism does not believe the police should ever be...
