Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

We confess the Apostles Creed sometimes during the liturgical year, I can't remember if it's Lent, or Advent, or what. I haven't been Catholic long enough to know this stuff by heart. But I'm pretty sure, that sometimes, during each liturgical year, there is at least part of a liturgical...

Why didn't Jesus want His disciples to make Him known before the 'DBR' ?

Which part of the OP do you disagree with? Do you 'take issue' with anything in the OP?

How does one determine, using the scientific method, that the earth is billions of years old?

Who knows why anybody does anything online? And I do not grant what you're suggesting I did.

Why didn't Jesus want His disciples to make Him known before the 'DBR' ?

" But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; 16 And charged them that they should not make him known: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 18 Behold my servant, whom I have...

What are womens gift in the bible ? what are her things, special atributes G-d gave to them and only them ?

'Catholic' is spelled with a capital C. The Real Presence of Christ. There's a difference between a consecrated host in a monstrance and a consecrated host deliberately trampled under foot. Those are not the same thing.

@Clete just in case you missed it. I think the argument for me is taking a cue from @glorydaz in saying your six points are too much. I agree with all your points, I think everyone in this thread believes your six proposed points, it's just whether or not we have to believe them to be saved...

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

Clete's more Catholic than the pope. He thinks people have to believe more Catholic points in order to be saved, than even the pope does.

What are womens gift in the bible ? what are her things, special atributes G-d gave to them and only them ?

I am Catholic. (That just means I'm an individual member of the Body of Christ.)

Of course not. Also an unconsecrated host is just a cracker or "cookie". I do. Why would you think I don't?

31 Reasons To Reject The Jab

Yes... No!!!! This reminds me of gun control rhetoric, always trying to 'spin' the 'narrative' toward the NRA being solely interested in selling guns irresponsibly "in support of the [gun] industry's bottom line". That's not true of the NRA with gun control and it's not true of the FDA with...

No. I say it because it's true.

What are womens gift in the bible ? what are her things, special atributes G-d gave to them and only them ?

No you don't. That's what I'm saying. If that's what I'm doing then I agree with you. I have made it my mission to be the opposite of uninstructable. We pray to the Father and to the Son in the rosary, and we also ask Mary to pray for us. Catholicism is invulnerable to accusations of...

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

This is basically not only my view, but also Catholicism's view, and it is about grace.

What are womens gift in the bible ? what are her things, special atributes G-d gave to them and only them ?

I answered this directly. In Catholicism "putting anything other than God in the place of God" is sacrificing to something other than God the Father. You need to stop acting like you know Catholicism so well that you can instruct me on it. You don't. It has everything to do with it, in...

What are womens gift in the bible ? what are her things, special atributes G-d gave to them and only them ?

In Catholicism "the place of God" is accepting the sacrifice of the Mass, which is offered to Him upon an altar. So in order for Catholics to "[put] anything other than God in the place of God" to commit idolatry, we would need to offer sacrifices to something other than the Father.

I just want to make sure that I don't make a bad compromise here. A half a loaf of bread is better than no bread, but a half of a baby is ... hopefully connected with the other half. I don't want to cut MAD in half if it's a baby. If it's a loaf of bread, then I don't have to be as careful...
