No, the earth drops at 8 inch per mile squared, that would be exponentially.
In 60 seconds a jet would see a gradual, but very quick 66 foot drop if it flew straight as the earth curves downward.

Videos like this one are the reason for the doubts about stars.
These you could say are fake, but there are many of them and they do not look at all like what we are shown by NASA.
For you all even a look at this is and making an argument against it is never going to happen because you all do...
I like your view here, I am very much in agreement with it. It's a bit of a "stretch" but Biblically possible, pun intended.
But other galaxies still are imagined, maybe rightly so, but not the product of empirical evidence.

I listened to a gun instructor on a navy ship say they could do "line of sight" targeting up to 30 miles at sea which would be impossible on a curved earth.
You can be as accurate on a flat earth as on a curved one, if not more so.
Jet fighters fly at almost 600 miles an hour at low level...
A light in the sky is hardly proof of a galaxy.
The rendering of these is galaxies are just like the prehistoric ape man, all works of art, a little light and lots of imagination.
--Dave
Yes, that we are one of many other galaxies in a singular universe is different than many universes with their own many galaxies.
I would consider many universes to be as unverifiable, and unbiblical, as many galaxies in one universe.
--Dave
I do like videos well done, like this one, it's short and to the point.
But you are using NASA computer graphics of the earth from space in order to argue that they do not use computer graphics of the earth from space.

Thank you for all that impute.
It seems many Christians are trying to combine Genesis creation with evolution. I don't think that works but I don't want to debate what you have posted, I just wanted to know what many of you believed.
--Dave
No, I'm just wondering how many do.
But I would say that many Christian do believe in the Big Bang and an evolving universe. Other galaxies are not facts of science or Biblical.

With the Copernican model Christian's will have to deal with the "Big Bang", the "evolution" of the universe and multi galaxies theory that have been incorporated into it. This incorporation is coherent with this model but contradictory to the Genesis account.
How many here believe in the...
The ancient Greeks favored a geocentric world not the heliocentric one. They could have chosen either and why they chose a stationary globe earth over a spinning globe circling the sun is something I'm trying to figure out. Any idea's on this?
