The earth is flat and we never went to the moon--Part II

They did the right math for the wrong experiment. You do not understand the line from which that 8" is measured. It is a gross error made by a novice who doesn't understand how to do science. There is another calculation, you can find it in the link that I posted above. That is the...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon--Part II

Scale. The radius of the Earth is something less than 4000 miles (3,959 miles). Pictures take from the surface of the Earth can see from a couple of miles to a couple hundred miles depending on your elevation. Lets say you are high enough up to see 100 miles to the horizon. 100/3959 is a...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon--Part II

Bad argument. The people at NASA have nothing to lose. If the Earth were truly flat they would have as much to gain by publishing those pictures as they do by publishing globe Earth pictures. And none of these conspiracy theories adequately cover the ancient Greeks who know the Earth was...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon--Part II

Do you realize that everything you have said here is completely wrong. Take this comment: "A curved earth would be confirmed by ships, buildings, trees (even a helicopter) slanted away from viewer. Everything, as far away as we can view them with telescope and camera are still perpendicular...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon--Part II

Equivocation is never a good tactic when you don't know the answer. Yes, the question is exactly how do we detect gravity waves in general. Scientists finally figured out a way to measure them. Next they needed a place to start looking which is why they chose a specific place to start...

Is it easier to measure a larger wave or a smaller wave?

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon--Part II

Yes it is. But it takes time to develop the equipment that is capable of collecting the data. The ancient Greeks were the first to hypothesis the atom. In the early 1800's, the first evidence base hypothesis was put forward. The first time we actually saw an atom was in about 2013. That is...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon--Part II

Now that we have the technology to detect them, we will begin to refine and detect more. Detecting gravity waves is not like detecting ocean waves. We had a prediction and it has had its first verification. Now we will watch other scientists do the similar experiments and collect data.

Since we now know they exist, they can exist wherever they propagate.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon--Part II

IN science, we use nat attic a models to make predictions about things, the workings of gravity. Nobody made anything up. The models predicted that gravity waves would exist if the model was correct. Recently gravity waves were observed and measured. In science, that verifies the validity of...

It is always interesting to watch people attempt to dismiss a topic when they find themselves incapable of dealing with the facts. That more than any other reason presented on your two threads is why you are not able to swing people to your world view. You lack credibility.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon--Part II

What you say here is simply not possible on a flat Earth. It is impossible for anything to disappear behind the horizon on a flat Earth. Perspective dose not allow for that. According to perspective, something just gets smaller and smaller until in vanishes. Why don't the sun and moon ever...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon--Part II

Technically, there is no limit to how far we can see. The eye responds to the light that reaches the retina. All it takes is about 5 photons for the eye to see something. It makes no difference how far those photons have traveled to reach your eye.

Okay. But what makes you think you can't see something that is 93,000,000 miles away?
