Can a Christian lose their salvation

The day of judgement has not yet occurred. I will "be" saved when I hear my name is in the book of ife. Not saying that at all. Peter said that they who repent and get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38) He was...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

God made no deal with Abram. God promised Abram an heir.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

I have my end of the deal to follow through with. But I don't see it as "paying" something. He bought me for His uses.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

I can't say I am saved yet, as the final judgement will decide it. Paul writes..."For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain." (1 Thes 3:5) Salvation is still ahead of us.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

It is written..."In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature...

    Is death just another life?

I don't know about that, as the "Who is gone into heaven..." is Jesus. Kinda' lost me in that one... I think they know, but just refuse the Government.

Thank God for that down-payment. I hope I don't back out on the "deal".

Can a Christian lose their salvation

You don't think they, and we, need to endure being tempted to abandon the faith? Being able to resist the temptation to lie and horde money, instead of trusting God to meet all one's needs, is relevant. It is something we must endure, faithfully.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

We all need to endure faithfully in the face of every temptation designed by the devil to lure us away from our faith. How can a man honestly say he has faith if he cheats on his taxes ? He has turned money into an idol to be served above God.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

If that is only for the Jewish believes, why do they have to "endure" ?

    Is death just another life?

I feel that specific group was mentioned only so that Peter could segue to water baptism. Rather than get hung up on one definition of a word, explore the possibility of preaching being teaching. "By the Spirit" Jesus taught the OT prophets of His suffering and death while the prophets...

The Blessing or the Curse! Our choice! (A look at Deuteronomy 11:26-16:17)

We really are actually "7s". How can anyone who had been reborn of God's seed be anything else but a "7" ?

    Is death just another life?

It does apply to everyone taught by the prophets after the flood...who is in a grave-prison. Why would the Spirit of Jesus teach fallen angels ? They have no hope of a resurrection at the return of Christ. For that matter, nobody has any chance of suddenly "getting right" with God after their...

    ...although He doesn’t know how

The parable says, in Mark 4:26-27..."And he (Jesus) said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground: 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how." Jesus is using the parable to teach that the "end" won't...

    Is death just another life?

The "spirits of the prisoners" are in their graves. They rejected the teachings of the prophets who taught with the Spirit of Christ, during their lives, including Noah.

    ...although He doesn’t know how

Don't you think verse 27 is talking about the farmer, and not about God...who knows everything ?

    Is death just another life?

Seeing as you are finished, lets talk about the real interp' of1 Peter 3:19. 18"... being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20 Which sometime were disobedient,..." The subject there is the Spirit, by which...

The Blessing or the Curse! Our choice! (A look at Deuteronomy 11:26-16:17)

    I sure am glad I went from a "6" to a "7" when I was reborn of God's seed.

    May I ask...

Both. I am dead to the Law of Moses, by the body of Christ. (Rom 7:4) I obey the law of Christ now...that being: love God with all my strength, soul, might, and mind; and love my neighbor as I love myself.

    May I ask...
