  • You are in my thoughts and constant prayers, Evoken.

Thank you for your good wishes, and I am most thankful to God, for friends like you!

Were the children then forced to attend anyway?? If so, then you have an actual argument that works.

Just by bringing the wedding up in class (as they would have to do, in order for it to become a class feild trip) they were shoving their agenda down the kids throats. How do you suppose the kids felt who were forced to be excluded, and over a religious and cultural issue they shouldn't have been witness to as a result of the school's interference? Isn't that an undue influence on it's own?
out of context? Ok, but just an FYI, in order for me to see your responses, you have to click 'view conversation' and then enter your answer, that way it shows up on my page and not yours. Otherwise you have to check back for a response.

I learned that after a few posts...just thought I'd pass it along
Why did you close the thread? Anyway, here is my 2 cents:

Jesus said, 'receive ye the Holy Ghost', in addition, Paul said
Act 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Act 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

These men had not received the Spirit, and then received it after they believed.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Paul delineates those who are Born into the family of God as being indwelt with the Spirit of God from those who did not have that Spirit.

These two should be enough to show that while we all have the breath of life, originating from God, we do not receive the Holy Spirit until rebirth.

Anyway, just thought you deserved a response.
