Why the pre-trib rapture theory is false doctrine.

Why the pre-trib rapture theory is false doctrine.

The most compelling evidence is that no scripture says the rapture is before tribulation.

On the contrary, the Bible says the coming of Christ and our gathering together with Him is after the tribulation.

Tribulation of the saints is not the wrath of God.

2Th 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
2Th 1:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
2Th 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
2Th 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2Th 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

The book of Revelation gives no pre-trib rapture event--

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Therefore there is no questioning of why men are disappearing as pre-trib teaches.

Indeed men hide from His face--

Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
Rev 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Wrath is poured out, without measure, on an unbelieving world that has embraced and worshipped the False-Christ and his False-Gospel (that he is the True-Messiah). If you are present, you will be punished by God during the Great Tribulation.

:sigh:

but
the wrath of God is poured out in the tribulation Rev 6:16... from the wrath of the Lamb

and Christians are not destined for wrath
For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Rev.6:16 speaks of Christ's return, first to resurrect the saints during the first great earthquake and then begins the vials of wrath after a short break.

Notice that there is no resurrection before that time because all of those to be killed for their witness has not occurred until after the 5th seal.

Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

So no pre-trib rapture is mentioned anywhere in the Bible.

Read Psalm ch 18.

The "Tribulation" is 3.5 years long. The entire earth will be punished by God's wrath.
The "Tribulation" is what is properly called "The Great Tribulation" (ie: Day of the LORD).
This Great Tribulation is the last-half of the "70th Week of Daniel".

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the Day of the LORD has come.
Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion [departure] comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. - 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 ESV

The "gathering together" unto the Lord occurs prior to the revelation of the False-Christ.

No such thing is spoken of in Dan.9:27

The vials of wrath only last for 30 days.

RE: The Great Tribulation (ie: Day of the LORD).
Obviously you don't know your Bible very well.
The 3 1/2 years is elsewhere referred to as 42 months "forty and two months" (Rev 11,13, etc.)
The 3 1/2 years is also referred to as 1260 days "a thousand two hundred and threescore days" (Rev 11,12)

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days [1290 days]. - Daniel 12:9-11
This example is 3 1/2 years + 30 days and begins with the "Abomination of Desolation" (ie: the proclamation of the False-Messiah in the Temple, stating that he is God "in the flesh") until the return of the True Messiah, Jesus + 30 days.

notice that only Paul speaks about the rapture and nobody else.

1Th 4:17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
