Why did G_d totally obliterate all traces of the Temple?

Micah 3:12b Paraphrase
Zion shall be plowed as a field
Jerusalem shall become a heap of rubble
The mountain of the House
[of the LORD]
shall become as a deforested mountain top.

Micah 3:12 NASB
Therefore, on account of you
Zion will be plowed as a field,
Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins,
And the mountain of the temple
will become as high places of a forest.

However, Jews claim that the "Western Wall" (ie: Wailing Wall) is a remnant of Herod's Temple, and claim that Jesus was a "false prophet" as he claimed that "not one stone will be left upon another".

Micah was a prophet in the time of the First temple. He was talking about the destruction of the first temple, not the second. Jews do not claim that the Western Wall was actually part of the Temple. It is part of the retaining wall built to support the platform that the Second Temple was built on. The First Temple was smaller, and did not sit on that huge platform.

Thank you for your input.
Shall we move-on to the very next verse in Micah (following Micah 3:12)?
And it will come about in the last days
That the mountain of the house of the LORD
Will be established as the chief of the mountains.
It will be raised above the hills,
And the peoples will stream to it.

Followed by:
Many nations will come and say,
“Come and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD
And to the house of the God of Jacob,
That He may teach us about His ways
And that we may walk in His paths.”
For from Zion will go forth the law,
Even the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Micah 4:1-2

I think we can safely say that the prophecy of Micah goes well beyond the "First Temple" period.

Great? So where's the problem? Oh! No Jesus in that vision of the last days? Durn.

"The God of Jacob will teach us His ways"
I don't have a problem with God sitting on a Throne
in Jerusalem and teaching us "His ways".

Micah 4:3 - the NEXT verse:

And He will judge between many peoples
And render decisions for mighty, distant nations.
Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares
And their spears into pruning hooks;
Nation will not lift up sword against nation,
And never again will they train for war.

Where is God sitting on a throne in Micah?

Oy-Vey, This subject of reigning has been thoroughly covered in
previous posts using many references taken from throughout the Tanakh.

I find it rather odd that you have so little knowledge of your own Tanakh.

Oh, I can claim a decent knowledge of the Hebrew Bible. I am aware of those verses- but they aren't from Micah. You are making a porridge of verses to fit your ideas. Still no mention of Jesus anywhere in the porridge....

YHWH will sit upon His throne and rule the earth
A descendent of David will sit upon his throne and rule

I question  whether you are sufficiently familiar with the portions of the Tanakh concerning this.
This subject is spread-out among the Prophets, Psalms, and even the Torah. Pretty hard to ignore.

But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Too little to be among the clans of Judah,
From you One will go forth for Me to be RULER in Israel.
His goings forth
[appearances] are from long ago,
From the days of eternity.”
- Micah 5:2

Yep, it appears as a theme in some of the prophets. Definttely. Absolutely. Still no mention of Jesus.....

OK, we have God ruling from a throne in Jerusalem over the whole earth
And, we have a descendent of David ruling on a throne in Jerusalem over the earth.

I get it!
Since God is the King of the World forever and ever, and since a descendant of David will be King of Israel- they must be one and the same! Obviously!

Where do I go to get baptised?

You will have to answer to God according to the "light"
(information from the Tanakh) you have been given.
It's up to you to "get to the bottom" of this seeming enigma.

Not the Jordan, it's too polluted.

“The water quality is anything but holy in nature,” he said. “The water quality for the full length of river south of Alumot [a dam below the Sea of Galilee] is a mixture of untreated and partly treated sewage, agricultural runoff, fish pond waste, and saline waters from springs to reduce salinity of Sea of Galilee… If in past the Jordan river was fast-flowing, overwhelmingly fresh water source, today the Jordan River hardly moves and has a very poor water quality.”

"Titus orders the whole city and Temple to be razed to the ground, leaving only the tallest towers and a small portion of the wall on the west. The Xth legion is left to garrison Jerusalem." -- Josephus Chronology of the War Book 7, 7:1-4

The 10th Roman Legion was left to garrison in Jerusalem
A "Legion" is composed of approximately 6,000 soldiers.
Obviously the Romans left Fort Antonia garrison intact (aka: "Temple Mount"),
as that was Roman property. The rest of Jerusalem, including
the Temple was "razed to the ground".
