The story of the creation has been retold many times "since" the foundation of the earth, and this is what was repeatedly told to each generation from the beginning of the foundation of the earth.

The only reason to believe in a pre-conception existence for humans is the fables that claim humans have an eternal soul that exists without a body.

The only reason people ascribe to our having eternal souls outside of our body and existing with no body is because we believe it to be true, your contrariness notwithstanding.

Who is doing the judging in the verse?
Is it the books or is it God?

It's about who is doing the sinning:

"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works" (Rev.20:12).​

Being convicted of your sins is not a blessing, it is a curse.

So it was a curse for the publican when he was convicted of his sins?:

"Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
