In the "My Neighbor" thread, Nick_M was insisting that Christ somehow disagreed with St. Paul. I indicated that this is impossible, since both spoke truly, and truth doesn't contradict itself.

He left me this neg. rep. message:

"oh shut up, comicus"

Touche, Nick M., touche.

Bonus points if anyone can tell me where the name "comicus" is from and why this neg. rep comment is funny. :p

It would appear that Nick is familiar with "stand-up philosophers"?

The name Comicus come from Marcus Aurelius Comicus, a fictional Roman stand up comic, a baloney artist. It where we get the words comic and comical. It is a play on your love of Greek and Roman philosophers.
