The simplicity...

Many people are fond of using the word simple or simplicity when they don't understand something. "I have a simple faith" being one of the favourites.
There are other instances and they all stem from 2 Cor 11:3

"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Messiah".

The word haplotees is wrongly translated as simplicity. The correct translation is liberality which means and conveys: not restricted in giving, granting or yielding.
The word is used by Paul on 3 occasions Romans 12:8 2 Cor 1:12 and 2 Cor 11:3.

Anyone who is interested in the truth will read the verses and see that the term simplicity fits correctly with the sense of what Paul is conveying.

I just noticed that the NKJV correctly translates as liberality in Romans but incorrectly in both verses in Corinthians. James Strong was right when he said, "all translators are traitors".

"I have a simple faith" is the hiding place of those that don't study and have not a love of the truth and so the word does not dwell in them richly. They only retain what their blind guides have used to stimulate their itching ears and they only retain the lies as far as their degenerate minds allow.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto Elohim, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth".

"And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved".

"Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly in all wisdom;"

"Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind".

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"

"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of Elohim: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned".

The narrative of the post came first. Adding the scriptures was a spiritual exercise that would not be needed if people were conversant with the scriptures...as they so often profess to be.

Paul in writing to the Corinthian Church of God was referring to the spiritual man born of the Spirit when speaking of the simplicity of the Gospel of Christ, otherwise the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him 1Cor 2:14 no matter how it may be simplicity to the Spirit born man !

At the point of regeneration, the knowledge of saving grace is revealed and sealed by the Holy Spirit. There is an absolute acceptance of the revelation although understanding is misty, to say the least. The operation of received trust overrides anything the world or Satan can throw at the babe.
Angels encamp around him and he is firmly held in the palm of the Eternal Almighty.

He will have been saved in and from ignorance but he will not remain ignorant for long. He will begin to know things by the Holy Spirit. Revelation comes thick and fast. He will try and confirm these things with others in denominations. Soon his desire for truth will soon outstrip their abilities to answer.
At that point, he will begin in earnest to find the confirmation of what is being revealed to him by reading and listening to the scriptures.
In the denominations, people will be aware of this sudden growth and begin to question and then despise him.
Every sermon he hears will be remembered and poured over in the days following the hearing. He will forensically dissect the words used by the speaker and pick out contradictions, false hoods and blatant lies. He will weep and wonder how can this be?

...the simplicity.

The word simplicity is a mistranslation. Understanding begins with what did those that first received the message understand by it. Not how can you twist it to serve your own purpose and false teaching.

I'm sure you've been sucking on this little comforter for years, but it's not what you thought or think it to be.

One does not need a perfect understanding of the gospel to be saved. The gospel is a nutshell is looking completely and totally outside ourselves and putting all of our faith and trust in Christ which is so simple that even a child can understand. Many Catholic and Orthodox Christians have more faith than so-called Protestants with their love of 'correcting' ever verse of scripture like Truster the bible mechanic.
