The Serpent

I remember a while ago that Serpent could have also meant Image when translated from Aramaic...

It got me thinking about Adam and Eve seeing their reflection in water. How might they have reacted?

The Hebrew word rendered "serpent" in Genesis 3:1 is Nachash (from the root Nachash, to shine), and means a shinning one.

So when we see our reflection we see our alter ego?

Adam and Eve would have to go to a pool to see theirs, would have made it more open to interpretation.
