If you have never called on Christ to save you, Romans 10:13, or you are trusting in being predestinated, this article will not make sense for you. Only those that have been born of the Spirit will understand spiritual things, 1 Corinthians 2:14.

When a repentant sinner comes to Christ to be saved by him, God seals him with the Holy Spirit and places him in Christ.

"In whom you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION: in whom after that you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise" Ephesians 1:13.

There is no unsealing. Once sealed always sealed. The Christian that has been born again by the word of God (the Gospel) 1 Peter 1:23, is now a spiritual being and understands spiritual things, John 16:13. Many professing "Christians" have not been born again by the Gospel. They are not really Christians, they are counterfeit Christians. They talk like Christians, they act like Christians, they may even read their Bibles, but they don't understand it. Many of these become Catholics, Calvinist or join a cult because they don't understand the Bible. They become religious and live by works, law and religion.

Faith and the Holy Spirit always accompany each other. Where there is faith there also is the Holy Spirit. There is only one kind of faith in the New Testament, it is always faith in Christ and his Gospel. On the day of Pentecost they heard Peter's Gospel, they believed Peter's Gospel and they were born again by the word of God, which is the Gospel, Acts 2:38. Just as faith and the Holy Spirit accompany each other, those that have not been born again will follow law and religion.

The law is the very nature and character of God. Paul said that the law was manifested by Jesus Christ, Romans 3:21. I would say that Jesus Christ is God's law incarnate in human flesh.

"For in him dwells all of the fullness of the Godhead bodily" Colossians 2:9.

If one is going to try and keep the law you would have to be not like Christ, you would have to be Christ. You would have to be like God. This is why Paul wrote,

"As it is written there is none righteous, no, not one, Romans 3:10. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.

Now those that are born of the Spirit understand these scriptures, but those that are lost and are trying to be saved by law and religion cannot receive this truth, because they are void of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is only given to those that hear and believe the Gospel, Galatians 3:2. In the Gospel Jesus comes into the world as God's new Adam and our new humanity, 2 Corinthians 5:17. His mission is to do for us that which we cannot do for ourselves. By his righteous, sinless life he offers to God the Father a life of perfect obedience according to his holy law, Matthew 5:18. This life was lived for our justification, Romans 3:26. That was not enough. Something had to be done about our sins and the sins of the whole world.

"For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" 2 Corinthians 5:21.

God requires two things for the salvation of fallen man.
1. A life of perfect obedience according to his holy law.
2. An atonement for our sins and the sins of the whole world.

Jesus, in our name and on our behalf has thoroughly and completely met all of the conditions for our salvation. We are complete in him, Colossians 2:10. The law and religion cannot save or justify.

" Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: FOR BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN" Romans 3:20.

The law tells us that we fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. Paul said that the law is our schoolmaster that brings us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith and then after faith is come we are no longer under the schoolmaster, Galatians 3:24,25.

TOL allows B57 to follow me around the Forum with his one liners about how I don't believe that Christ blood saves.

We are saved not only by the blood of Christ, but also by his life, death and resurrection.

If you allow B57 to harass me, you (the moderators) are part of the harassment.

U don't believe that Christ blood saves. You teach that sinners Christ shed His Blood for are lost and condemned!

B57 is a religious reprobate and is without hope. He knows what the Gospel is but cannot embrace it. I have been praying for him for years, but it appears that the Holy Spirit has given up on him. How sad.

A person who is Lost, as Pate is, cannot Believe the Gospel because they are blinded by satan, and as a result the Gospel is hid from them 2 Cor. 4:3-4.
