The grammar of Gal 2 and the folly of 2P2P

Check any commentary where the person knows Greek grammar, and you'll see the error here.

The subject is Paul/Peter.
The verb is to preach the gospel. There is only one. The direct object is BUILT IN.
The indirect object is the two targets. An indirect object for 'preach' cannot be the content preached. it can only be the target(s).

The truly stupid thing is that 2P2P has chosen this as a proof text of two gospels, when the anathema of another gospel is 10 verses away. There is no way that Paul meant two competing "Christian" ones were OK, because there is no such thing.

this is the utter dishonesty of the 2P2P garbage. No where in the whole NT is there the sentiment that there is a 2nd or a close 2nd or one for one group, one for another, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW THIS because of their isolated and compartmentalized way of reading.

And is it any wonder he cannot grasp the gospel of circumcision versus the gospel of uncircumcision?

Don't come to a conversation like this and be so ignorant. Do you honestly not know enough about the situation to know that we are talking about Peter and Paul? Good grief. Learn how to read, learn how to concentrate, learn how to put 2 and 2 together in a text...

Learn grammar. Learn how to diagram.

All of 2P2P would disappear if people learned to diagram, as on Eph 3:6.

Paul said there is a gospel for the Jews, and a gospel for the Gentiles. You said that isn't what it says. So tell us what it really means. I predict another misdirection non-answer.

Not til you work on grammar.

The case is actually simpler than diagramming the whole sentence. Find a good lexicon on 'euangelizo'. To make a great announcement. There are a few times when another object is provided, for ex., to announce the birth of a child. As you may know, the 'eu-' part is 'nice, great, best ever' while 'angelizo' is 'announce, declare.'

When it is by itself, it is strictly about the one Gospel.

Now review the situation. Both Peter and Paul were send to 'euangelizo'--to preach the one Gospel TO the two groups. But not only that, Paul had just blasted the Judaistic deception called a gospel that was not. So he and Peter are TOGETHER on task while the opposing one was by the Judaizers and assaulting the Galatian people.

There is no sense at all that he is talking about two equal but distinct positive ones for the two groups, grammatically or situationally. Like most of 2P2P, it is a waste of time as far as how it is put together. Ignoring sense, context, reason and the NT.

Greek is more clear than english because of declension. Declension of words means that there are spellings that distinguish:
SUBJECT
OBJECT OF PREOPOSITION
DIRECT OBJECT
INDIRECT OBJECT

Each has a separate spelling or marking. When you get Greek tools, one of them should be an exegetical lexicon because it is simply an official list of the case of each usage. The other kind of lexicon is literary--the actual examples from all kinds of literature of the meaning(s), and thicker the same way that the Oxford dictionary is thicker due to all the literary examples.

So you are claiming Paul to the gentiles and Peter to the Jews? Be careful.....Because in Christ, there is no gentile or Jew. So go ahead, and expound on your claim.


7 And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: "Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.
