1 John 5:10 - 12
10Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart.
Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
Note that I did not say you were NOT a Christian, I only said that you have given some evidence that you may not be.
That evidence is rejection of parts of the bible which offend your personal reasoning.
It is safe and fair to wonder if a person who makes claim to Christianity yet rejects parts of the bible is able to fit the description given in the first half verse 10.
A person who does reject parts of the bible is far more likely to fit into the second half verse 10.
If you fall into the description of the second part of verse 10, then obviously you are not a Christian.
How much bible can one reject before it can be said 'he has not believed God and has made him out to be a liar'?
