Does the United States of America observe Torah, God's Law?
Individuals in the United States of America do. I do.
Do we observe as a nation? We can, if we are all of Israel.
Only Israel observes Torah.
Doing what God requires of us, what He has asked of us, is what is important.
The United States of America can observe Torah if we are all of Israel.
Some Commandments of God are only for Israel. That is why.
Can the United States of America observe God's Law? Yes. The word Torah means Instruction or Direction. It can be translated as Law. We observe God's Law in so far as it is observed or a part of the Law of the land in which we live and of which we are a part. The United States of America was founded upon God's Law, Biblical Principles, as allowed by the Constitution of the United States of America and found in our history not only belonging to our founding fathers but to the people who came to make up this nation which we call the United States of America.
This is why it is important to ask and learn about the Judeo-Christian Principles, Ethics, and Religion. From Judaism to Christianity we observe God's Commandments as God has allowed and instructed us to do in the Torah and in His Holy Word the Bible.
For those who have turned to God from among the Gentiles, no greater burden than these essentials found in Acts 15.
no greater burden than these essentials:
that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication;
The Noahide Laws are for all nations.
Israel observes the Law of Moses or the Mosaic Law. Much of the Mosaic Law or the Law of Moses is found in the Law of the United States of America.
There are many covenants from Torah. The people of Israel broke the covenant. The Law was not abolished. But it was fulfilled in Yeshua HaMaschiah, Jesus the Christ. He brought the promised New Covenant of Jeremiah 31:31-34. It is for the house of Israel and the house of Judah. It is God's law written on minds and hearts.
Jeremiah 31:31-34 NASB - 31 "Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them," declares the LORD. 33 "But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the LORD, "I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 "They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares the LORD, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."
