SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD

The mystery was hid in God before it was revealed to Paul (Ephesians 3:9), and therefore, could not have been made known beforehand. That Jesus was saviour of the world could not have been according to mystery, so therefore, it was prophecy. In prophecy, Isaiah 52:10 declared his salvation unto the world, as well as in Genesis 12:3, Psalm 72:17, and Psalm 98:2-3.

Paul not only preached mystery, but the law and prophets (Romans 16:25-26). In Acts 13:47, Paul cited Isaiah 49:6, and said they were commanded to go unto the Gentiles, which was according to the purpose of God in bringing salvation to the Gentiles.

God didn't hide the mystery until Paul. What exactly do you think the mystery is?

These scriptures tell us about how salvation through Jesus was a mystery.

Notice that Peter and Paul say the same things:

1 Peter 1:10-12 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

2 Peter 1:19 And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Romans 16:25-26 Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him--

Did you see that?

The mystery is what Peter taught and Paul.

It is the same mystery being preached.

Now read these scriptures.

The prophetic writings are the writings of the OLD TESTAMENT.

These next scriptures tell us about our transformation through Jesus…

1 Corinthians 4:1 So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God.

Galatians 3:19 Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come.

Hebrews 7:11 [ Jesus Like Melchizedek ] If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?

Hebrews 7:19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

Hebrews 10:14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

James 1:25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

1 Peter 4:5-6 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

So the one and only mystery, the gospel, was preached EVEN TO THOSE WHO WERE DEAD.

You think that Jesus didn't preach the dead the one and only gospel that saves?!

1 Corinthians 2

God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit

6We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen,

what no ear has heard,

and what no human mind has conceived” —

the things God has prepared for those who love him—

10these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

Did you read that?

Jesus would not have been crucified if the rulers had UNDERSTOOD IT. That is proof that Paul and all the apostles taught what Jesus taught when Jesus walked the earth.

This translation corrupts this verse.

KJV 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

Justified freely through the death and resurrection of Christ.

The revelation of a new creature of Jew and Gentile the body of Christ.

BEFORE Jesus DIED, and BEFORE he RESURRECTED, he taught WHAT WE HAVE TO DO TO GET SAVED, and WHAT WE WILL RECEIVE.

God came as a MAN, and as a man, he made his Last Will and Testament.

The Last Will and Testament is about How to be an heir, and what the heir receives.

You don't know that from life experience what a Last Will and Testament is?

Jesus, for 3 1/2 years TAUGHT his Last Will and Testament.

Then he died and it came into force.

You don't know that is how Last Wills and Testaments work?

Paul taught Jesus' LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT.

Paul, an apostle, is like an executor of a Will.

Paul is preaching to the world how to be an heir and what one will receive.

Do you REALLY WANT TO KEEP preaching against the truth that Paul was upholding the execution of the LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JESUS CHRIST?!

Paul QUOTES JESUS making the New Covenant! And then PAUL SAYS he is the minister of the New Covenant. Not a different one---NO SUCH THING.

2 Corinthians 3:6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

1 Corinthians 11:25 In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

Here Paul tells how Jesus gave the covenant that was promised a long time ago when God said He would write the new law on our hearts:

2 Corinthians 3:3 It is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Paul is explaining that HE COULD NOT CHANGE THE COVENANT, which further proves Paul taught exactly what Jesus taught when he walked the earth:

Galatians 3:15 Brothers, let me put this in human terms. Even a human covenant, once it is ratified, cannot be canceled or amended.

When Jesus was on earth, he made the testament/covenant conditions, and then he died for the testament and covenant, rose again, and ascended.

Jesus couldn't come and make a different gospel/covenant with Paul because this is the one and only everlasting covenant of his blood.

Hebrews 13:20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep,

Did you read that? It is EVERLASTING, not a different one given to Paul.

The translation of Romans 16:25-26 you cited is saying the prophetic writings contained the mystery, which hidden, is now revealed, which is wrong.

I gave scripture that proves Peter knew the same mystery.

Peter even taught it to the Gentiles and Jews before Paul.

That was not the question. When did Peter preach Christ in you the hope of glory?

What do you mean that is not the question?

Christ in us is the promised Holy Spirit that Jesus taught and then died, rose again, and ascended and sent to us.

Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 10:45
All the circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles.

Your interpretation. Let's try again. Where does Peter teach Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Your interpretation. Let's try again. Where does Peter teach Christ in you, the hope of glory.
1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1 Peter 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Jesus taught the apostle Peter that he will be in him:

John 14:17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

John 17:23 I in themand you in me—

John 17:26I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. John 14:23

Now make up your mind if you are going to keep making it as if Peter didn't preach what Jesus taught him.

Here are scriptures of Peter teaching about Jesus in us:

Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 10:45 All the circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles.
