The Washington Times reported this week that Syria and Iran are complicating efforts to stabilize Iraq because terrorists are crossing those nation's borders to attack U.S. and allied forces. Does that make sense? There are terrorists coming into Iraq to attack us. There. And Donald Rumsfeld, trying to give a warning to the Syrians and the Iranians, he said, "It sure would be a lot easier if these nations were helpful instead of harmful. I think that we'll end up succeeding in Iraq and it's just going to be harder, a little more difficult [because of the influx of these foreign terrorists]. On the other hand, [Donald Rumsfeld said], the influx of these terrorists gives our guys the chance to kill more terrorists."
