Oh yeah, I remember him.
I met him in New Orleans in the mid-sixties.
I didn't know what it was I was looking for... then... or maybe what it was that I was running from.

I still recall where he was talking about his upbringing..

"We were rural - I mean REALLY rural!"

"A dog was our fire department; we were so rural!"

"The town hooker was still a virgin, we were so rural!"

"Used tuh git Saturday Night Live, on Toosday, we were so rural!"
