Republicans are now adopting socialst reasoning for creating new taxes. They want to tax big tech so that they will pay their "fair share". That's a purely socialist idea coming directly from the mouths of Republicans.
The reasoning behind this idea doesn't become any better coming out of a Republican mouth rather than a Democrat mouth. All corporate taxes are paid directly by the corporation's customers. The corps don't actually pay a dime of their taxes. They just raise fees and prices enough to distribute the cost of taxes across all their customers. That Republicans think their voters are dumb enough to swallow their reasoning does not speak well of them.
