I figured I'd make a thread that defends and celebrates Calvinism since there's a myriad of them which denounce it- some of the open theists on here are obsessed with kicking around Reformed ideology, it seems

To be a good Calvinist all one has to do is... Deny the scriptures. Deny the Gospel. Deny the Lordship of Jesus Christ and worship John Calvin.

'Spiritual logic', when coming from most people, sounds more like a 'cover all' for the broken pieces in the logic thereof. Something could be contradictory, which is what much of open theism is, and yet if one throws in some 'spiritual' affirmation- all of a sudden it's sound :nono:

And that is something many organized beliefs do, even Catholicism- they make ample use of the word 'mystery' when something is a bit murky in their doctrines.

Calvinism is the logical set of doctrine of Christianity. There are no holes, there is nothing else to be desired- it is complete, rational, and sober.

Reformed doctrine is on the opposite side of the spectrum of Catholicism. The fact that you still compare it to the Catholic Church simply means that your own beliefs don't even fit in that spectrum, and are dubious.
