I don't understand why "The Dukes of Hazard" people ever had the thought to put the Confederate flag on that car... I didn't think it was strange way back when the show was on (never watched it much) but I was young then... young people don't think about much of anything... OOPS!
I just insulted young people... OK, i will speak only 4 myself.. I didn't think about controversial things in those days (except abortion... and a few other things)
But anyhow, I don't think the flag should be flying on gov-run (WeThePeople owned, of course) property.
Why?
Not because it is "offensive" necessarily, but becasue, or mostly because
The North won!
"To the victor go the spoils"
That said, If someone wants to make or buy or display these flags, So waht? I say.. one word: Freedom.. But it shouldn't happen on gov property, which is owned by ALL, not just those who wish that the South had won or whatever...
I say the flag should have been taken down from gov property a LONG long time ago... 1865
