How does this affect the 2020 Elections, is there a true challenger in Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders. Or will they negatively affect each others campaigns and again open the door for Trump?

His approval rating fluxuates. Look at the graph set up by 538 if you want to see what it looks like (link). He was at 56% in January. Today he's at 54%. It's been upticking, but then it was below his average before the uptick and still is.

If you limit the field to registered voters it shrinks to 53.8 today and has ticked down over the last couple of days.
