Jesus didn't abolish the law, he strengthened it (Matthew 5) and love covers all the law. And if we love God with all our heart and our neighbour as ourselves then we won't break the commandments of God that are written upon our hearts as we are are taught daily by the Spirit through Christ.
And Paul said this
Romans 13
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,“You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
The difference is that now we don't follow the letter of the law, because once we are walking in the Spirit, then the spirit guides and teaches us and writes the laws in our hearts and in our minds, and guides us to turn from sin and guides us in the truth daily as we live by the will of God.
