Matthew 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

Matthew 3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

This confession of sins is a national confession.

The nation is comprised of individuals. Individuals confessed and were baptized, but as a nation, it was required that Israel be cleansed to enter the coming prophetic kingdom.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The verse above also speaks to the same corporate confession of sins required of the nation of Israel.

Many people do are not made aware by the Trinitarian Translators that the Bible in the Greek manuscripts uses three totally different / separate Greek words when addressing the concept and subject - related to the idea of forgiveness / pardon of sins and even the meaning or concept of confessing and acknowledging out sins.

When Yahoshua said = " Whosesoever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them " He was simply saying - " Whosesoever sins ye “ lay aside “ or loosed they are “ layed - aside “ - loosened / LET GO. This word ( LAY ASIDE - LET GO ) ἀφίημι - aphiēmi - - has nothing to do with the word forgiveness. – that has a different meaning and is a different Greek word that applies to the forgiveness of God, by the blood of Christ.
1._ { G859 - ἄφεσις - aphesis } - Meaning = Complete Freedom; Pardon: - Deliverance, Forgiveness, Complete Liberty, Remission of sins.
It is used in this meaning = Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the - { pardon - forgiveness = φεσις - aphesis } of sins, according to the riches of his grace.
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no { pardon - forgiveness = φεσις - aphesis }
This Greek word “ φεσις “ is always applied and always “ ONLY : always the Lord God and His - Word - His Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the BLOOD OF Yahoshua shed on the cross in a ( ONE TIME EVENT ) COMPLETED - that mentions or applies this word FORGIVENESS, PARDON and remission of sins.
Never is this word used in any other way, fashion or under any circumstances whatsoever.. - not even one single time. it is through Yahoshua and His Blood shed - and has no other application of any other elements or aspect, in the manuscripts..

Why are there three words applied to the idea of forgiveness in the Bible ? - The reason is, because the forgiveness of sins, was already done and finished in a one time and completed event and DONE and FINISHED - upon the cross.
This Greek word { G863 - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } - when used in The New Testament, ONLY and ALWAYS means ( to lay aside, let go and leave ) it is a totally and completely different word and used in a different meaning and not the word { forgiveness / pardon { G859 - ἄφεσις - aphesis } that is always and ONLY used - only - in the same application or meaning as when the Blood of Yahoshua was shed on the cross and when we accept His salvation and word and are filled with the Holy Ghost. – Then we are pardoned and forgiven from all sin.

This Greek word { G859 ἄφεσις - aphesis } is only and always applied to “ FORGIVENESS, PARDON and remission “ of sins by the " BLOOD SHED AT CALVARY " and also to the Baptism of the Holy Sprit.

There are no oral traditions, no priests, no human intervention or human involvement applied to a single verse in the entire Bible that even once - uses this Greek word { G859 ἄφεσις - aphesis }..
And we see how that these different words are used differently in the same conversation that Yahoshua had with the Jews.

Luk 5:20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are { pardoned / forgiven G859 ἄφεσις - aphesis } thee.

Luk 5:21 and Mar 2:7 the scribes and the Pharisees said " Who can { lay aside G863 - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } sins but God only? " - :10 and Yahoshua said " know that the Son of man hath power on earth to - { lay aside G863 - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } sins.
Here the authors were using two different Greek words with two different meanings and ways that they are used in the manuscripts. NEVER is man said to be forgiving or pardoning sins. And the manuscripts never say ascribe this Greek word to “ man “ forgiving or pardoning sins. This word is always and only applied to God alone and to the Yahoshua with this blood shed and to his salvation through faith in baptism and the word of God.
There is not a single Catholic application that exists or s single verse that Catholics use or render form the Bible that uses this Greek word -- { G863 - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } - Never does this word { forgiveness / pardon /ἄφεσις - aphesis } have anything to do with man. it is God alone that forgives / pardons sins.
As we see how this word FORGIVENESS, PARDON and Remission - are always consistently used in the Manuscripts in the same way.

There is no mention of this Greek word - applying the forgivness, the pardon and the remission of sins - outside of these verses centered around Gods shed blood and the work of God through baptism and receiving His salvation by faith in His word . This verse never applies or APPEARS in the Bible - under any other circumstances.
These other two words that Trinitarians are claiming are the word “ forgiveness and pardon “
Are G863 - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi - af-ee'-ay-mee. - Meaning = To send; an intensive form of (to go)); to send forth, - cry out, leave, forsake, lay aside, let (alone, be, go, have), omit, put (send) away, yield up.
It means that = God Lets the sin go, or - He sets or lays the sin aside / allows one to leave of their sin / God lets it go - BUT IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE APPLICATION OF being pardoned: - delivered or the forgiveness, liberty and pardon and remission of sins that was already given by the blood of Yahoshua – upon the cross and when we accept Him as our savior.
As the Bible clarifies in Heb 10:18 = Now where { forgiveness / pardon - remission - ἄφεσις - aphesis } of this is, there is no more offering for sin.
The priest and other human intervention has no power regarding the Blood being applied to our lives and the word is never applied in the manuscripts - for pardon / forgiveness of sins being in the hands of priests and man....... Never once. It simply does not exist.
We see where this other different word is used and how it is used in the following verses. Meaning = G863 - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi - af-ee'-ay-mee = Where our sins have already been forgiven and pardoned at the cross and by Baptism and accepting the gospel- but after this - This Greek word aphesis by the Blood of Christ is never any longer applied or used in any other form.
. - After this - this word becomes ONLY “ aphiēmi “ - meaning to – Let, to - Leave, forsake, lay aside, let (alone, be, go, have go ), to omit, put aside ( or to send) away, yield up. To allow, our sins that have already been remitted and pardoned at the cross – when the blood was shed.

In other words, The specific, exact, individual Greek word that means “ To Lay, Aside, Or LEAVE sin “ The Roman Catholic Translators pretend that this Greek word is the same universal English word meaning Forgiveness “ COMPLETE FORGIVENESS “ throughout the translation while they picked and chose where it meant forgiveness and where it meant to mean Lay Aside, Leave or Departed or LEAVE our sin.

For eXample Your Catholic Translation uses the word FORGIVE here in 1Jn 1:9
But what 1st Jn 1:9 says in the Original Greek Manuscripts is “ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to { leave, lay aside - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

FORGIVENESS, PARDONING SINS has nothing to do with the ACTION word OF " { leaving, letting go, Letting out, going and Laying aside or stopping, halting, { leaving, - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } our sins. This pardon and forgivness was already done 2000 years ago on the cross. And the Bible never once ( NEVER ) uses this other word “ἀφίημι “ to apply to Catholic priests, because there are no Catholic Priests in the Bible. IT never is applied to man laying and letting sins be left from the sinner. The Pardon and Forgiveness has already been done.

The way that the Greek words are used and their meanings and applications ( how they are used ) clarifies that the Priest or Bishop has no more offering for sins. And this was the point of the authors. They were not throwing around the word FORGIVENESS and PARDONS Over and over and over and over, as You see in the Roman Catholic Translations. Most of the Gospel concerning forgiveness of sins is not filled with all of the 40 + FORGIVENESS WORDS that are in the Roman Catholic translations.
The Roman Catholic and Trinitarian Translations - completely ignore that the words that they claim are forgive are actually based off of three different Greek words with three different meanings and Forgivness / Pardoning of sins - never, ever once – apply to man pardoning and forgiving sins. This Pardon / forgive word strictly and only applies to God alone, in the manuscripts. Also the Greek word that Trinitarians claim is ‘CONFESSION “ does not strictly mean confession in the way that the Roman Catholic claims .

When the Bible says to acknowledge your sin and acknowledge our sins – this has nothing to do with going to a priest and using the priest in the place of Christ ( AS IF IN A TRIAL ) or a court where You confess your misdoings- it also means to acknowledge – and it is used a acknowledge in all of the other places - Yet the Trinitarian Translators only translate this word as the word confession – and this has nothing to do with the way in which Roman Catholics have attempted to alter the meaning and strictly apply the word “ Confession “ - it has nothing to do with Catholic Confession. They are simply acknowledging their sins. NOT Confessing sins, as in a court of law where the Priest where the Priest or a man executes a verdict and has power to forgive and pardon. IN the place of Yahoshua.

This word ( LAY ASIDE - LET GO ) ἀφίημι - aphiēmi - - has nothing to do with the real meaning of the word - “ forgiveness “ – forgiveness and pardon - has a different meaning and is a different Greek word that applies to the forgiveness / pardon of God, by the blood of Christ. We can help people lay aside and let go of sin - but confessing and acknowledging our sins to one another has nothing to do with forgiveness. - We are to ask God alone- for pardon and forgiveness. And the manuscripts make this very clear .. - yet the translators universally use the same word “ forgiveness “ to apply to all three Greek words as if they all mean exactly the same way. Catholics completely ignore the way in which the original manuscript authors wrote the message and meaning and applications of most of the Bible.
Roman Catholics and other Religious organizations have a good idea and good intentions of having people acknowledge their sins but this is not how it is explained in the Bible. The Bible show a totally different picture and message of forgivness and acknowledging our sins. This is not explained in the Trinitarian Translations.

Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no { forgiveness/ pardon /ἄφεσις - aphesis } of sins.
And - Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the { forgivness / pardon /ἄφεσις - aphesis } of sins... and many more verses - but none of them use this word when speaking of man laying aside the sins and mistakes of another man. God alone forgives and pardons.

There is no mention of this Greek word - applying the forgivness, the pardon and the remission of sins - outside of these verses centered around Gods shed blood and the work of God through baptism and receiving His salvation by faith in His word . This verse never applies or APPEARS in the Bible - under any other circumstances.
These other two words that Trinitarians are claiming are the word “ forgiveness and pardon “
Are G863 - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi - af-ee'-ay-mee. - Meaning = To send; an intensive form of (to go)); to send forth, - cry out, leave, forsake, lay aside, let (alone, be, go, have), omit, put (send) away, yield up.
It means that = God Lets the sin go, or - He sets or lays the sin aside / allows one to leave of their sin / God lets it go - BUT IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE APPLICATION OF being pardoned: - delivered or the forgiveness, liberty and pardon and remission of sins that was already given by the blood of Yahoshua – upon the cross and when we accept Him as our savior.
As the Bible clarifies in Heb 10:18 = Now where { forgiveness / pardon - remission - ἄφεσις - aphesis } of this is, there is no more offering for sin.
The priest and other human intervention has no power regarding the Blood being applied to our lives and the word is never applied in the manuscripts - for pardon / forgiveness of sins being in the hands of priests and man....... Never once. It simply does not exist.
We see where this other different word is used and how it is used in the following verses. Meaning = G863 - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi - af-ee'-ay-mee = Where our sins have already been forgiven and pardoned at the cross and by Baptism and accepting the gospel- but after this - This Greek word aphesis by the Blood of Christ is never any longer applied or used in any other form.
. - After this - this word becomes ONLY “ aphiēmi “ - meaning to – Let, to - Leave, forsake, lay aside, let (alone, be, go, have go ), to omit, put aside ( or to send) away, yield up. To allow, our sins that have already been remitted and pardoned at the cross – when the blood was shed.

As in these different verses - Mat 3:15 And Jesus answering, said to him: { Leave - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } it to be so now. For so it becometh us to fulfill all justice. Then he suffered him.
And - Mat 4:11 Then the devil { Left- ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } him; and behold angels came and ministered to him.

Mat 4:20 And they immediately { Left / Lay aside - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } their nets, followed him.

In other words, The specific, exact, individual Greek word that means “ To Lay, Aside, Or LEAVE sin “ The Roman Catholic Translators pretend that this Greek word is the same universal English word meaning Forgiveness “ COMPLETE FORGIVENESS “ throughout the translation while they picked and chose where it meant forgiveness and where it meant to mean Lay Aside, Leave or Departed or LEAVE our sin.

For eXample Your Catholic Translation uses the word FORGIVE here in 1Jn 1:9
But what 1st Jn 1:9 says in the Original Greek Manuscripts is “ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to { leave, lay aside - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

FORGIVENESS, PARDONING SINS has nothing to do with the ACTION word OF " { leaving, letting go, Letting out, going and Laying aside or stopping, halting, { leaving, - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } our sins. This pardon and forgivness was already done 2000 years ago on the cross. And the Bible never once ( NEVER ) uses this other word “ἀφίημι “ to apply to Catholic priests, because there are no Catholic Priests in the Bible. IT never is applied to man laying and letting sins be left from the sinner. The Pardon and Forgiveness has already been done.

As the Bible clarifies in Heb 10:18 = Now where { forgiveness / pardon - remission - ἄφεσις - aphesis } of this is, - there is no more offering for sin. The way that the Greek words are used and their meanings and applications ( how they are used ) clarifies that the Priest or Bishop has no more offering for sins. This word never applies to them. - not even once.

And this was the point of the authors. They were not throwing around the word FORGIVENESS and PARDONS Over and over and over and over, as You see in the Roman Catholic Translations. Most of the Gospel concerning forgiveness of sins is not filled with all of the 40 + FORGIVENESS WORDS that are in the Roman Catholic translations.
The Roman Catholic and Trinitarian Translations - completely ignore that the words that they claim are forgive are actually based off of three different Greek words with three different meanings and Forgivness / Pardoning of sins - never, ever once – apply to man pardoning and forgiving sins. This Pardon / forgive word strictly and only applies to God alone, in the manuscripts. FORGIVENESS, PARDONING SINS has nothing to do with the ACTION word OF " { leaving, letting go, Letting out, going and Laying aside or stopping, halting, leaving our sins. Roman Catholics never tell You this. They through the entire Bible using the word forgive to every single word that they can squeeze into every single verse. Yet they take the same Greek word and use it as it intended to be. as they translate it correctly - to say { leave, lay aside - ἀφίημι - aphiēmi } in all of the other verses that have nothing to do with their priests and ministers and fellow man assisting one another in leaving, laying aside and Letting go, or stopping their sin - that has already been forgiven by the blood of Yahoshua on the cross. – as the manuscripts clearly demonstrate in every single last detail.
Also the Greek word that Trinitarians claim is ‘CONFESSION “ does not strictly mean confession in the way that the Roman Catholic claims .
Confession - simply means = ομολογων G3670 - to - acknowledge. But it can be also confess in the sense of acknowledging our sin. – We profess - acknowledge - ομολογων G3670 } - our sins.
1Jn 2:23 . He that { acknowledges - ομολογων G3670 } the Son hath the Father also.

Mat 10:32 I will also { acknowledge - ομολογων G3670 } him before my Father who is in heaven.
Mat 14:7 Whereupon he { acknowledge - ομολογων G3670 } with an oath, to give her whatsoever she would ask of him.

When the Bible says to acknowledge your sin and acknowledge our sins – this has nothing to do with going to a priest and using the priest in the place of Christ ( AS IF IN A TRIAL ) or a court where You confess your misdoings- it also means to acknowledge – and it is used a acknowledge in all of the other places - Yet the Trinitarian Translators only translate this word as the word confession – and this has nothing to do with the way in which Roman Catholics have attempted to alter the meaning and strictly apply the word “ Confession “ - it has nothing to do with Catholic Confession. They are simply acknowledging their sins. NOT Confessing sins, as in a court of law where the Priest where the Priest or a man executes a verdict and has power to forgive and pardon. IN the place of Yahoshua.
Whosesoever sins ye “ lay aside “ or loosed they are “ layed - aside “ - loosened / LET GO. This word ( LAY ASIDE - LET GO ) ἀφίημι - aphiēmi - - has nothing to do with the real meaning of the word - “ forgiveness “ – forgiveness and pardon - has a different meaning and is a different Greek word that applies to the forgiveness / pardon of God, by the blood of Christ. We can help people lay aside and let go of sin - but confessing and acknowledging our sins to one another has nothing to do with forgiveness. - We are to ask God alone- for pardon and forgiveness. And the manuscripts make this very clear .. - yet the translators universally use the same word “ forgiveness “ to apply to all three Greek words as if they all mean exactly the same way. Catholics completely ignore the way in which the original manuscript authors wrote the message and meaning and applications of most of the Bible.
Roman Catholics and other Religious organizations have a good idea and good intentions of having people acknowledge their sins but this is not how it is explained in the Bible. The Bible show a totally different picture and message of forgivness and acknowledging our sins. This is not explained in the Trinitarian Translations.

I understand. I'm sorry, it was so long, believe me, it took some extensive time to address this subject in the most condensed way I possibly could.

Basically the post about how there are three different Greek words related to the subject of forgiveness in the New Testament manuscripts. And one of these words are only applied to the forgivness of God alone as his Shed Blood and His one event of offering - for sins, by his blood - shed - on the cross. This single Greek word applies only to our accepting his plan design for salvation by believing in him, his " BLOOD " atonement and being baptized in the name of the Lord Yahoshua, The Anointing.

After this and outside of this - this Greek word is never again mentioned or used in the manuscripts.

However two other Greek words are used outside of this - and they are very different in meaning and usage and they have the meaning of saying that something - such as sin, is layer aside or given up / let go or loosened.

Meaning the Bible lays out a description in the wording concerning when and how they are used - their meanings, to show literally - that our sins were forgiven by His Blood and by accepting and believing and being baptized and filled with the Holy spirit.

This - Forgivness / Pardon Greek word, does not apply - nor is used in the ordinary meaning of forgivness - as we see how the word FORGIVNESS is as a universal word that the translators imply and use for all three Greek words.

The Translatators use the term { LAID ASIDE / LET GO / LEFT and let go - in all of the other many places where these Greek words are used but they change it to the word " Forgiveness " when and ONLY when - sins or wrong doings are a part of the subject in all verses. .

Although there are three different Greek words that have three different meanings and one of them is the word Forgiveness and Pardon - the Translators translate all three words with the same universal English word " forgiveness " - as if all three Greek words are all the same universal meaning. And one of these words are never once used outside of the meaning of The Blood Of Yahoshua and His Salvation plan in our lives. it is excluded completely from all other ideas and mentioning of any forgiveness in the entire manuscripts - regarding man forgiving one another and regarding even sins laid aside and let go by God - as he has already pardoned and forgiven our sins on the cross.

This is the way the manuscrips lay out this process. And the Trinitarian Translators treat and translate these three different words as one unniversial for meaninng in English - forgivness - but this is not in the manuscripts.
