I'm not asking anyone to name their blog but I would like to know if anyone here owns their own blog. What is the nature of it? I'm thinking of doing one to make a second income eventually. It will concern a certain academic subject that my degree is in. It will be educational in some parts and will be shop talk among professionals.

I'm not sure how one would make money from a blog without having a pretty huge following and being packed with ads. I suppose it's not impossible, but if I knew how to attract that many people, I'd have already done it.
