2 Cor 5:21

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

This is to say, as a result of Christ being made sin for us, made sin means a sin offering(Isa 53:10

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand)

We were made the Righteousness of God in Him.
Now to be made the righteousness of God, is to be made righteous in the sight of God, by the imputation of the righteousness of Christ :John Gill

Plainly, His being made sin for us, is His Death for our sins, which in turn reciprocates by making those He was made sin for, Righteous/Justified before God, which the resurrection of Christ affirms !

This is vividly seen in Rom 4:25

Who was delivered for[because of] our offences[Made a sin offering], and was raised again for[because of] our justification/adjudging righteous.

The word for Justification here dikaiósis:

acquittal, justifying, justification, a process of absolution.

the act of God's declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to him; adjudging to be righteous

This certainly teaches Limited Atonement, that Christ's death was only for some, those who are made the righteousness of God in Him !

Amen ! There is a Blessed Righteous / Justified, Eternally forgiven World, whose sins were imputed to Christ 1 John 4:10, being made sin for them 2 Cor. 5:21. Therefore God, according to His Law and Justice, does not charge them with any of their sins. For Christ the Lamb of God took them all away John 1:29 and His Resurrection from the dead is proof of that fact Rom. 4:25.

Is 53:6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Rom. 4:7-8
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Therefore they are exempt from God's punishment.

However, we also know from scripture that there are those who make up a condemned world which awaits the Day of Judgment:

1 Cor. 11:32
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

For Jesus Himself teaches that some will die in their sins.

John 8:21, 24

21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. 24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Rev. 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Exactly who was made the righteousness of God in Him ?

2 Cor 5:21

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

It was the World written of in 2 Cor 5:19

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

This is very specific and particular, a world of individuals that God has not imputed their trespasses unto them.

Now David and Paul calls these individuals blessed Ps 32:2

2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Rom 4:8

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

But now Paul extends what David meant about what God meant about the blessedness of the man or men the Lord imputeh not iniquity, to include that these same men have had righteousness imputeh to them, for we read Rom 4:6-8

6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

So the inspired scripture testimony is those who God doesnt impute sin unto as per 2 Cor 5:19 are blessed also because God hath imputed to them righteousness without works !

So the World in 2 Cor 5:19 cannot be everyone without exception since all without exception have not righteousness imputed to them, which would constitute them Justified/Righteous.

Amen, the World in 2 Cor. 5:19 is comprised of Particular individuals to which God has imputed Righteousness without works, He therfore remembers their sins no more.

Ps. 103:12
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

However, there remains another world of people which God has remembered their iniquities.

Rev. 18:4-5

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
