I don't know the whole history of Jerusalem and the land that Palestine "claims". What I do know is that Palestinians are terrorist warmongers and eternal troublemakers. We have coddled and appeased Palestine for too many years and they refuse to negotiate. Finally, we have a President that shows favor and loyalty to our greatest ally, Israel.

That's where you should have begun even though it took a long time before they were called Palestinians by the rest of the world and some of these people where Jews and Samaritans and Romans of course. In fact the populous after 135 AD and prior to were from many different countries. The genetics of the people there were from all over really. Very difficult to say that there was a dominant ethnicity either, further more many of the populous were nomadic for centuries and had no real country of origin. What we can say for sure is that most of the Jews were killed or forced to live elsewhere, although a remnant did remain from 70AD to 1948.
