How Much Time Passed Before the Fall?

Probably forty days. That number is usually associated with testing.

mk 1:13

And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

deut 8:2

And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

That word try is the heb word nacah:

to test, try, prove, tempt, assay, put to the proof or test

I am not dogmatic with that however..
