We can't know how screwed up his life was, but unless he was insane then obviously this kid had heart.
There are over 2 billion of us and we could not help him? One look at us would have only encouraged him all the more to put a bullet in that stupid man's face.

If this kid had ever looked for a church to go to, it's likely most of the churches he would find would be crazy insane churches that would demand he believes in crazy insane things that the Bible does not even teach. Let's face it, Christianity today is less and less relevant. It's become a toothless ideology and is fast being taken over by other ideologies. It hasn't helped itself by continually covering up institutionalised sexual abuse of children in its ranks. It's been slow to adapt its mythology to a changing modern world in regards to women, gay relationships, gay marriage and it's largely supported by fickle people who aren't remotely theological warriors but who just like a comfy social practice where they "pick n mix" what they want from the Bible and pretend to be what they are not.

Today the ideology is suffering clear discrimination at the hands of other ideologies. We are starting to see Blasphemy laws creep in which don't appear to apply equally to Christianity and there seems to be no Church or Christian presence able or willing to stand up to it. It's going the way of the dodo as a result.
