Harris-Pence debates a narrow win for Harris, a huge win for Biden

Mike Pence went into the debate with an impossible mission: try to recoup the disaster Donald Trump brought on himself in his own debate. He failed, but did better than expected. He dodged the dangerous questions and asked the hard ones for Harris, who dodged the hard questions and asked the dangerous ones.

The first indications are that Harris did a bet better than Pence, which is all she needed to do.

In all fairness, Mike Pence did the best anyone could expect, given what he had to defend. He shot his bolt, and he did much, much better than Trump, whose debate performance was disaster for him.

Looks like this will be the last debate. Trump is not willing to take part in a debate where he can't scream over the moderator.

And maybe his handlers managed to finally get him to understand how much damage he did to himself the first go-round.

You give Pence too much credit, considering how often he talked over and interrupted Kamala Harris and completely ignored yet another hapless moderator.

Are there no decent moderators to be found?

As an aside: The press has failed us so many times. Worried more about balance than truth, trying to normalize what wasn't and would never be normal. Following Trump every which way and forgetting as fast as he did the previous dereliction of duty in pursuit of the next.
