"That he (Jesus) by the grace of God should taste death for EVERYONE" Hebrews 2:9.
Salvation is a gift from God for everyone. A gift cannot be earned or deserved, otherwise it would not be a free gift. The only thing that one needs to do to be saved is accept the free gift of salvation that has been provided for them by Jesus Christ. No Calvinism, No Catholicism, No religion, No works, No obedience.
Isaiah Wrote, "Ho everyone that is thirsty, come to the waters, and he that has no money; come buy and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Isaiah 53:1.
Isaiah was describing God's great free gift of salvation that is offered to all that will receive it. Those who are spiritually thirsty and hungry may come to eat and drink without money.
In Romans 5:15-18 the gift of salvation is mentioned 5 times.
"But not as the offense, so also is the FREE GIFT" Romans 5:15.
"But the FREE GIFT is of many offenses unto justification" Romans 5:16.
"Much more they which receive abundance of grace and THE GIFT of righteousness shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ" Romans 5:17.
"The FREE GIFT came upon all men unto justification of life" Romans 5:18.
Our salvation cost us nothing, but it cost Jesus Christ more than we will ever be able to comprehend. Jesus, who was pure and without sin became sin for us, 2 Corinthians 5:21. Who can phanthom what that must have been like? From the beginning of time, until the last day, all of the sins of the world were laid on Jesus and were atoned for, 1 John 2:2.
