Proverb 30:5-6, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”
Jeremiah 26:2, “...all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a
word.”
The are 16 verses missing from the New International Version (NIV) Bible, along with numerous other words that have been removed or changed. The NIV was first released in 1978, and has become the most popular selling Bible in the world, despite removing numerous verses and words that have stood for millenia, and had been always accepted in English with the King James Bible and its predecessors. Most people don't know about the changes made to modern Bible versions. Every word of God is pure. Why would we want to be missing a single word? If you have a King James Bible, you have every word, in English.
Here are 16 verses missing from the NIV and most modern Bible versions that were made hundreds of years after the King James Bible became the standard.
1. Matthew 17:21: "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."
2. Matthew 18:11: "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."
3. Matthew 23:14: "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation."
