Oh yes, God forbid children should be educated properly about sex especially when quite a number of these kids will be watching far more explicit stuff on the internet,

Seven year olds should be taught about sexual positions?

especially when quite a number of these kids will be watching far more explicit stuff on the internet,

What planet are you from where 'quite a number' of seven year olds are watching explicit 'stuff' on the internet?

Nice 'response'

I think you know that teaching seven year olds about seuxal position is indefensible...although I'd love to see you try.

Society shouldn't be sexualizing 7 year olds. You probably think 4 year olds are ready to learn about sexual positions and don't feel this curriculum is going far enough.

I agree. My view of sex education is that it should be used as a tool to inform teens of the responsibilities and dangers that may arise from having consensual sex. Just the facts ... which doesn't include anything about *sexual positions*.

Exactly.
What sort of adults would even feel the need for their 7 year old child to learn how to perform oral sex on another person?

The Dutch source mentions that the website (designed for 15 year olds) in listed a publication aimed at 'Youth' from 11/12 up. No mention of seven year olds at all. Many 11/12 year olds will be viewing unregulated US adult sites, Where would you want the youth to learn about sex - from porn sites or educational ones?

The very article posted in the OP says they recommend it for kids of 7 years old.

[FONT=&quot]Though it was originally intended for 15-year-olds, Belgian schools are recommending the website to children as young as seven-years-old.

Yes, but that is journalist exaggeration. Go to the Belgian site for the actual details. No mention of seven year olds: it seems that someone saw the route of school and looked up the youngest students attending without checking to see who was given the sex ed resource.

Always go to the source, journalists often get the wrong end of the stick.

I think you are overlooking the obvious elephant in the room.
It has been RECOMMENDED that the same material be taught to kids as young as 7 years old.

Whether you think that will, or will not, actually happen should not take away the disgust that anyone would recommend this for 7 year olds.
This 'recommendation' needs to be nipped in the bud right away.

Just another example of why folks should prefer to home-school their young children.

So these children have no parents?

No, there is no recommendation to seven year olds in the source material. The journalist got confused and made that up. The resource was recommended for youths aged 11 and up. Read the source, and you will see.
