DISCERNMENT

DO YOU DISCERN LIFE WITH THE WORD? OR DISCERN THE WORD WITH LIFE?

mt 12-36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.
MT 4-4 It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
GAL 6-7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to the flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
RO 8-5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom 8:8
8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Matt 9:16-17
16 "No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse.
17 "Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."
TIT 2-1 But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine.
REV 22-18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of the book. If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
2JOH 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him.
TIT 2-1 But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine.
RO 3-4 That you may be justified in your words, and may overcome when you are judged.
1CO 11-31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.
1CO 11-32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
1CO 2-14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
HEB 4-12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Matt 16:2-4
2 He answered and said to them, "When it is evening you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red';
3 "and in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.
4 "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah." And He left them and departed.
Luke 12:56-57
56 "Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time?
57 "Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right?
Matt 13:13-17
13 "Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
14 "And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: 'Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.'
16 "But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;
17 "for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

xxxxx Discernment is a gift of understanding with the Word from experiance. What I mean is this. Some people believe a verse means something-because someone else told them it did. Some people believe a verse means something because they had an experiance and the Holy Spirit gave them the verse showing them from experiance what the verse means. So are you a hearer of the Word? Or a doer of the Word? Do you discern from hear-say, or do you discern from experiance? You always get opposing opinions from atleast two different spirits. Your guardian angel and your devil.

1 Cor 12:4-11
4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

Where does the Bible ever say this?

I said
That comes from experience. And the gift of discernment.. Think about this. Do you give into every thought that enters your mind? Do you have thoughts you really wish you didn't have? Can you stop thinking for 20 minutes? Or do the thoughts come whether you like it or not.

I was hoping that you would be able to answer my question because I am genuinely interested to find where in the Bible it says this. You said 'You always get opposing opinions from atleast two different spirits. Your guardian angel and your devil." and that is a bold statement that I have not read in the Bible ad so I was hoping you can show me in the Bible where it says this please

Maybe we should find out what you know about the Holy Spirit. That would give me a better idea of how to show you.

sure absolutely! I would love to talk about this with you thanks for asking. We can do that. But first I would appreciate if you could answer my question :)
It is a pretty big statement that you made when you said: "You always get opposing opinions from atleast two different spirits. Your guardian angel and your devil." And you are a strong believer in "quoting verses" to make sure what we say is truth. And I agree and think it is very wise of you for believing so strongly in saying that we need to test everything we hear, believe and tell and teach to others by making sure it is scripturally sound and if it is truth we can find it in scripture.
I mean there re obviously many things in modernity that we will not find in scripture because for example technology like the internet and social media, pornography, and other similar situations did not exist in the ancient times so we will see no specific reference about it, but we will find BIblical pricipals to follow to that can speak to discerning how to live and what to do in those situations. There is also no specific reference to "abortion" in the Bible but we definately know that it is not something aa Christian should be involved in. But what you said about ""You always get opposing opinions from atleast two different spirits. Your guardian angel and your devil" if true it seems like a pretty timeless principal and so if true it shold be adressed in Scripture because it seems it would be an important principle to know. But I am having a hard time finding it in scripture so can you please point out where I can look. :)
Then after that I would be glad to answer your questions that you have for me :)

I think I understand what you are trying to say now. Is it that you are getting and giving extra-Biblical revelations?
