There are stem cell projects that do go over the line on human life. And there are others that do not, even from a Catholic perspective. The taking of human embyros always goes over the line; it's a human body like any other, and the same limits should be in place. That's not to say doctors shouldn't train by dissecting cadavers; they just shouldn't go out killing people to get them.
