They only speak that in their blindness and ignorance.

[2Th 2:11-12
11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

You ought to try placing scripture in context rather than plucking a series of unrelated scripture and throwing it all together. The Holy Spirit doesn't work that way, but perhaps "other spirits" do.

The "strong delusion" comes to earth-dwellers during the Great Tribulation, where the False-Christ presents himself as GOD, and earthlings WORSHIP him.

'Re-united with Mum', 'Resting in Peace', 'Looking down on us'. These are the kind of sentiments expressed in many death notices. How can any atheist express such sentiments with an ounce of certainty or credibility?

They could say "returned to the Earth" or "reunited with the Earth."

Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust

When the last Anzac died aged over 100 years the cartoonist in our daily paper highlighted this sentimental approach to death. The old Anzac, dressed in uniform, is walking through St Peter's gates. A group of his old buddies, in uniform, are seated at a table inside playing poker. They happily greet the old Anzac coming through the pearly gates. The caption,"What took you so long?"

The understanding of death expressed in this cartoon is daily expressed in the death notices.
