The Chilcot Inquiry – also known as the Iraq War Inquiry – was set up in 2009 by then Prime Minister Gordon Brown to examine the UK’s involvement in Iraq.
Its remit has been to examine the way decisions were made both before and during the

US-led invasion, what actions were taken, and identify what lessons can be learned.

The time-frame covered includes the run up to the start of war in 2003, to when British combat troops were removed from Iraq at the end of July 2009.

Sir Chilcot read out a brief summary of his team's findings, and the press interviewed Tony Blair afterwards. It doesn't look good, quite dreadful, in fact.

Tony Blair, such a brilliant politician, he accomplished so much, bringing about the Good Friday agreement, will only ever be remembered for Iraq.

He was beguiled by Bush and those military advisors into getting UK troops in situ on the borders of Iraq, that's the brink, there was never going to be any coming back from that.
